When I turn the ignition to key position II, it goes through a lamp check cycle.

The TC and HDC do not illuminate. The ABS does.

I recently had a faulty front LH sensor which I replaced with a genuine sensor and cleared the fault which removed the ABS light. That problem is solved and I was hoping would restore TC and HDC.

When I press the HDC button - I hear the chimes (3 I think).

When I spin the tyres in gravel or the wet, the TC does not work.

2-3 years ago, the TC and HDC were operational and working. The HDC was super loud! Therefore, (and I have checked), the LEDs have not been painted or taped over on the cluster - I pulled it all apart.

Anyone else had this specific issue?

I am thinking either the ABS module itself, or (hopefully) the Shuttle Valve Switch (SVS). If it is the switch I'll grab a new one and do the option B while at it.

How could I test this, other than purchasing a SVS? Or is this the only way?

I am going to test the HDC on a hill now to see if it works itself, or if it does not which may provide further info to troubleshoot.

Wish I could upload a video or photos but this forum does not seem to allow me to do this.

Above the text box, in the reply page, are three rows of options. The last two options in the fourth cluster of the middle row are for inserting images and videos, respectively.

Oh I got it! The 'Upload' button does not seem like it could upload until I hovered over it. Cheers!

Now you need to reset the privacy protocol. [biggrin]

Even when I test the lamp function, they do not operate (TC & HDC). The ABS flashes (it comes on as soon as you enter the SLABS then, I think, OUTPUTS menu on Nanocom.

*Damn, still can't insert a picture [bigsad]

Hi, The SVS or the modulator have nothing to do with the warning lamp's self check, that's managed by the BCU and IP's processors. A SVS or modulator fault would stop the TC/HDC to work but bring on the 3 amigos, the HDC works only in low range. The only way to check if the warnings are working is with nanocom or similar as you can activate them for test, if the TC and HDC are not working the first suspect is the SLABS ECU which can be the cause for the warnings too...you need a dedicated diagnostic tool for progrmming if you replace it unless you find one removed from a 100% similar vehicle.

P.S. just saw your post with nanocom.

Go with nanocom in BCU - Settings - Instrument pack and check if the TC and HDC were not accidentaly disabled there cos nanocom used to alter settings there without request, each time you use nanocom dont forget to "write settings" at the end then exit the menus, turn ignition off and disconnect it after 60 seconds

Off course that there are some options where the "write settings" function is not at the end so dont try to find it there but dont miss it where it's necessary

Yep it was at the menu where instrument pack is.

I owe you a 6-pack mate! It was all disabled so it’s now all good. I’m going to give it a flog to test TC and find a hill for HDC.

I really appreciate your prompt responses!

Update from yesterdays test:

ABS light now permanently out ✅

TC & HDC lamps all flash at ignition II lamp test ✅

Took it on empty lot near me, gave it a good throttle and hard turn and TC operated when it should have ✅

HDC will test this week when I have time.

Only thing I did notice was the lamp ‘HDC!’ on. Amber lamp on the bottom LHS with vehicle angled down to the right with exclamation mark. It was on for a short drive then when parked and recycled ignition, it was gone.

You don't need a hill to test HDC. Just put in low ratio, turn HDC on, accelerate (to > HDC speed) then take your foot off the gas. It should immediately kick in.

I assume one reads the settings, then writes after checking them, without saving them to file first? I usually write/save settings to file then write them back from the same file again.
