I believe that I have met the new owner (via FB) and he is planning a trip next year (that I am also going on)

If the owner is WA as the auction would suggest then I was hoping to see it somewhere here.
I was also thinking that its going to be a hard one to register if in fact they were planning such a thing

I was wondering how difficult it would be to register. I might ask him… And come back to you.

I'm sure it was listed as having a compliance plate, if so thats a great start.
Obviously you wouldn't want to cut off the lift loops on the front and back, so I had thought that on the rear you could make a bumper that bolts on. The front get some hard rubber or nylon blocks and make bumperette type things like a ARB bullbar has.
To me the hard items would be:
*Does it need to have doors considering doors arent part of the structural strength of it.
*Some form of windscreen, even a half one for the driver.
*Then if it has a windscreen then it will need a wiper.
It's a very different beast to the 4x4 version that has the basic body frame of a 110, so adding half doors is easy enough.

His reply was “working on it” - I said I might know someone who could help with suggestions if he got stuck (as in you! 🤣)

My ideas were based on keeping it as original as possible or at least being able to put it back to original.
