Later D4s with DRLs rather than high-beam fill-in lights have different shape headlights and I've seen bull-bars that follow the shape of the later headlights.

I also think there was a compliance issue, the facelift model started in 2014 and the arb bars don't have a ADR compliance for pre 2014, couldn't get the newer bar summit I think it was

Dont know how correct that is,there were heaps of ARB bars sold for ealier D4's before the MY13 upgrade.

There are two bars. Pre and post facelift. You can’t alternate them and have ADR compliance. While you can fit the newer summit model to the older car, it doesn’t fit perfectly and also isn’t ADR compliant in that fitment.

Correct,I read your post wrong.[bighmmm]

Any bar is only compliant for the model of the vehicle it is designed and built for for.

I want to modify my OL bar and fit it.. But then it won't be compliant either. I'd love to grind all the hoops off.

Whatever bar you fit, make sure you can still remove the grille, so you can remove the headlight unit, so you can change the headlight bulbs ....

I have the OL bar on my mid-2013, at the time, the difference for me was that with the OL bar, I could still pop a headlamp and change a bulb.
