Recently I noticed that the speedo needle in my MY13 HSE D4 flickers (illumination) which it never used to do. The tacho needle is fine as is everything else in the cluster. Can i safely assume it's not an easy or cheap fix?

You can. Cluster repairs generally sit around $800. Obviously this is time and materials based but it’s a good reference.
