I have been watching Mario's journey for a very, very long time. I certainly plan to be there. I feel I should be there, in the background. It has been a challenging journey, you are an amazingly strong strong woman Heather. My sincere condolences and love.

Thank you Leonie, he was always interested in the thing you did like the weekend 4 wheel driving with your D2.
And how you push through things being in the chair.
He love the talks that he had with you.
Thank you for being there for him.

During Covid and Flu vax chaos I was watching and honestly loved seeing Marios wonderful family Heather. The Motor Bike at the front was cool as was the entire respectful event honoring a Gentleman .
I apologizes again I could not escape the ravages of work to attend in person.
Thank your for sharing

Hi Jame that was Mario on the bike when he was about 2/3. It was a neighbour that took him for a ride. That picture was taken Germany before he and his mum and dad came out to Australia. Heather

Great Service for a Great Man .
Id like to share some moments that helped to make Mario the kind person that will always be remembered to me .
Im not one for soppy stuff and have really struggled to do this , But if anyone deserves it , Mario sure does and i will fight back the tears to do so .
Any one that had the pleasure to cross paths with Mario Personally or on line will surely be touched by his kindness .
With Mario you were not a customer you were a friend for life .
He surely was a gentle kind soul giant of a man . And completely selfless to say the least
I first dealt with Roverlords i think in 2009 there abouts on ebay , Think i purchased hoses for Tdi .
Funny thing happened after placing the order my phone rang with Mario on the other end asking if it was Defender or Disco .
.
I had and to this day never had any ebay seller call me re a order . .
Little did i know how this would pan out over the years . Following on from this i acquired his ph number and he was more than happy with in reason anytime to be called upon for parts .
And of course as all Landy owners know we all need parts at any hour of the day .
Many a time i had sent my partner to Marios at some weird times of weekends or days and nights ect to collect the most needed part , This ensured a friendship between Mario , Heather and Sandi .
One time approx 2012 and i remember this clearly i was heading off to Big River for a weekend and the mighty Td5 D2 did a coolant hose just south of Cockatoo [Vic] dead on the side of the road . A quick call to Mars and in his car with a full set of hoses he came racing over to the rescue .
That did not pan out well as we could not get the fan off to replace the bottom hose , No wuckers Mars hops back in his car races home gets his fan spanner and returns .
We got it sorted Mars says pay for the hoses when you get back from your holiday cheers mate [thumbsupbig]
Many a time id get some parts and he would say just pay me latter on don't stress .
There have many a funny moment with Mars and Sad of course .
I won't bore you people with too much just a couple of memorable moments that made a great man Greater to me .
I have had the pleasure of meeting Mario Heather and the boys on numerous occasions . And those memories will stay with for ever .
With deep feelings a part of my soul is missing from the emptiness left , But the memories live on forever .
Heather
Sandi and i are here for you and im sure many others are aswell.

I have added my thanks to the previous post by Chris. I would have liked to do about 10 thanks but the forum only allows one.
I have never met Mario personally, but have had parts dealings with him.
I would have loved to attend the celebration of his life, but due to my geographical location and work commitments, this was not possible.
Rest in peace mate.
