Air Suspension dropping no leaks

Hey everyone, recently replaced the air struts, compressor and rebuilt the valve blocks on my lr3.

Noticed after a few days of being parked up it eventually finds it way down to the bump stops.

Pulled the fuse from the system at extended height and left the car for a week and it didn’t drop at all.. I do have adjustable lift rods installed but not sure that would be an issue.

Any ideas?

Absolutely. I did exactly the same thing and got exactly the same result, which was driving me nuts. I then put a time lapse camera on the car for a couple of days to watch.

With the fuse out, the car moves around a *lot* with temperature variations in the environment causing pressure changes in the bags. Up, down, left, right. I was quite stunned by how much it pivoted around. Made worse by the suspension sticking, so the torque slowly builds up until it moves with a creak.

Now put the fuse in and when the suspension computer wakes up one of the corners isn't where the computer left it, so it drops the other 3 corners a whisker to compensate because that's the only tool in its box.

This repeats until eventually it's down as far as the computer will let it go.

Did you take actual measurements from the hub centre to wheel arch and look for slight changes at each corner over that week?

Either of you. So what was your problem then Brad? So it doesn’t move when the fuse is out, yet goes to ground if it’s in. You said one corner must have been affecting it. How did you work out which one it was?

My "problem" is ongoing and non-specific. We don't have a garage, so it's parked in the drive. If I leave it for a week it'll gradually work its way down (anywhere from "a bit" to "a lot"). Looking at it, the car seems to "shimmy" around as the environment and sun position changes. That causes the occasional re-level which results in a 4 corner drop. It just happens "randomly", but watching the video I can see the car moving around which would explain it.

If I leave it parked under a building in the CBD for a week, it doesn't drop. No sun, and the temperature varies very little.

Checking the CCTV now, it's been in the driveway since the 24th of May and doesn't appear to have dropped much. It does seem to happen more in the hotter weather.

When it had a leak, it was pretty obvious and totally obvious on timelapse with the fuse out.

I’ve not taken measurements, plan to put a diagnostic tool on it and I’ll also put the standard rods back in and see what it does.

I was hard up for space a couple of months ago and I deleted them. I've just found the script I used to create it though, so next time I go away for a week or more I'll run it up and create another one. Just need to remember to take the suspension fuse out.

Its very frustrating,i had the same issue with mine.
With a small leak its even more frustrating,well it wasnt a leak on mine this time, it was a corner valve,then a year or so later the other corner valve.
Then two years later one leaking strut,then another.

Measuring often doesnt help unless its a big leak,as other corners also move,and sometimes they dont.
Mine was on flat ground under a carport,and gradually sank,often over a week or so.

All a frustrating PITA.

FWIW,if the vehicle is used as a daily,that is driven each day,many wouldnt know there is an issue.
Ours sat around a bit as we had company vehicles.
We used it mainly for touring,not a lot around town.
