I don't follow facebook or twitter.
What does the twitter verse have to say?

Interesting video. He seemed very calm about the issue which a good thing and he coped well with the problem. If I had one of these vehicles I'd be concerned that it could be an inherent fault as he hints at. Time will tell. Also is it not usual practice to replace shock absorbers in pairs? That could prove an expensive exercise unless Land Rover decides there is a problem and sets out to rectify the issue under warranty. He does say that he has lifted the vehicle so perhaps this has a bearing on the issue. I would hazzard a guess that this could be a way of Land Rover not covering this under warranty.

So well outside factory design by his admission and yet he expects it to have “a margin of tolerance”?
Sounds very much like it kept topping out and fatigued the shock causing failure.
I wouldn’t warranty someone taking my work and operating beyond spec either.
