For an hour today, 711 were retailing diesel for $4.35 a litre. It is unknown how many people purchased at that price.

A huge amount of publicity over an error.

One would think there is nothing else going on[bighmmm]

Check the nozzle relationship to the grade of petrol you want as well.

The handles are colour coded for that servo, maybe that brand of retailer.

I've bought 91ULP from red, yellow and blue handled nozzles, I've always checked and then a mate (who's a private traffic engineering consultant) said that 91 always came out of the yellow nozzle, which I knew was BS.

Diesel was always black handles, but recently I've seen grey.

DLI think it's liberty and apco servos that have the red and blue handles, and I'm pretty sure BP 91 is green and 95 is yellow but it's been a while since going there I may be wrong.

DLAlso noticed this yesterday, 91 Ulp I have seen in green, yellow and blue pumps
I thought there was a standard colour code for pumps

I've been caught out by that too - luckily the smell gave it away as soon as I started pumping.

There probably is........................ for that individual servo [biggrin]

Might be time for some pics to be taken and posted, boys and girls.

Then move this to the 'Conspiracy Thread'. [biggrin]

cheers, DL

I use the self-serve fuel stops with no shop, prepay at the bowser and in the process of paying, you choose the fuel (D, 91 or 95) so i guess that limits the potential for error.

I got a shock the last fill when I got to $150 and the 110 wasn't full yet. [bigsad]

$150 was the maximum amount allowed to be dispensed per transaction at the bowser i was using. NZ$2.60ish per litre over here.

In the UK I found out on the weekend that the maximum amount for fuel is 100 litres not based on the price. If it was on price with a £100 limit the average car would stop filling before it was full so makes sense

At the moment, full fuel onboarding sees the bowser displaying numbers in the realm of $450-490. [emoji2955]

Glad I don’t pay for it - I have a weekly side job doing Pigeon control at our Port and rail facilities - and get paid in fuel [emoji41]

You want bad news? - You can't handle the Bad News.... (No prizes for guessing what Tom Cruise movie that came from)

Whether we in Au depend on this or not, it's going to be leveraged for all it's worth, - in jacking up OUR fuel....

- But then again, we have our own crude oil and refineries..... or we did have ?[bigsad]
