Advice on transport of sidebars from Brisbane to Perth

Greetings all. I have the opportunity to grab some D3/4 sidebars from a seller in Brisbane and need some advice on getting them transported to Perth. I haven't used any transport companys for a few years, so any ideas on who to go with?

I can only speak from experience about 6 years ago.

TNT depot to depot is usually cost competitive, but it is expensive and depends on the measured volume of the goods. The volume is taken from the largest point so if you have side steps with extensions to go to the chassis , it can get expensive because the volume is taken from the widest point. So if they are removable take them off.

I found Pack and Send was sometimes cost competitive as they have contracts with major freight forwarders.

The do nots are do not specify pickup from residence if you are not very near a depot and do not specify a drop point outside a major city.

I recently got a quote from Pack and Send from Warwick to the central coast NSW for a 27Kg smart bullbar. the quote was $1025.

I used to get quotes in the thousands for Bull bars to WA , and quotes to Broome would make your eyes water.

Busfreight is another alternative for larger bulky items if you are near depots.
I tried Truck it once for a smart bar from the Barossa valley to teh Central Coast and never got a reply.

Good one but Perth to Sydney is vastly different to Sydney to Perth as they go there full and come back empty.

I recall we almost bought an old van to fill with bullbars until we found out that TNT would not allow anything in cars on car carriers.LOL . It was only something like $1500-2000 to ship a car but sometimes 2 bullbars would be that much.

I done a few jobs for shaws transport driving sydney to perth and return, I have no idea on cost comparison to others but they run several roadtrains a week. Could be worth a phone call.
