Fuel release clip

My fuel lid is blowing in the breeze, so I’ve ordered a new little black plastic clip and replaced it, to no avail… am I missing anything? The retracting rod is working fine. Thanks

You need to bend the metal tab a bit so that the clip engages[thumbsupbig]

See the attached TSB, it's title is not correct but the rest it is cos the problem is the same if it fails to close well
