Picked up a 50ltr waeco with an error for $80 , temp on display was 80c even though it was still cooling.
Found a new thermistor for $2.95 and cut an access hole instead of wrecking the case trying to get it apart.
Some pieces of old yoga mat and a little plastic welding and job done.

I had a cheap eBay fridge for years, it did the same thing. While trying to diagnose it. I found out they put two in and I just had to plug in the redundant set of wires. Winning! I always wondered if decent fridges had the same setup
