I'm thinking I might get out the angle grinder and the soldering iron and give the 130 a little extra motivation...

Keep it British (never mind the VW connection); already has a 4wd drivetrain; might take a little tweaking to get it sorted in a Defender. how about a Bell Aurens Longnose replica?

Pod,
I'm not sure a Bell Aurens Longnose 130 dual cab would look quite right🤔, but the original didn't do it for me either.
That said I'm looking forward to how it turns out👍

I saw a completely not-wrecked one in a dealer's a couple of years ago and he was telling me that after they got it in they went to get it serviced - and the official Bentley dealer quoted them $10k for a standard service.

No issues there, should bolt straight in! I'd probably steer clear of the D-squad sniffer dogs for a while though...

Last time I had reason to check was about 5 years ago and back then for Continentals it was £250 per tyre for the Bentley Flying Spur. Makes the £90 per tyre for the Range Rover seem reasonable

I've just put 4 new 255/85 R16 on the 130 and 2 new 285/30ZR20 on the Jag. Not far off equivalent to about £250 per tyre in both cases. Hate to think what the Bentley tyres would cost in Oz now.

Should you buy one? Well, this video might give you an idea of costs involved.
