The Control/Shift/Delete action post in the D2 section has reminded me that I've forgotten the sequence for permanently retaining a specified number of the first lines in a spreadsheet at the top of the screen as you scroll down - effect is something like a header in Word but better.

Anyone know or recall?

Not in front of a pc at the moment, but it is called Freeze or similar. look under View menu. You select the cell that will represent the first movable row and column before activating the feature

A bit late to the party, but yes ...

Freeze Panes under the View tab. You can do top, left or both.

There's a function in the Page Setup menu for doing something similar when printing - Rows to repeat at top / Columns to repeat at left.

Freeze or Spilt screen. You can drag and adjust the cell lines horizontally and vertically. I often Colour Fill top row or Left column two which I have fixed/frozen

Great tool.
