Best disco between MY2014 and 2016?

Hi all

Are there any significant differences between model years 14,15 & 16 and are any of these builds considered more reliable than another (did they fix any issues)?

I’m only aware of a DPF being added from 2015 (i think).

Mines a 2015 rego, 2016MY build TDV6. It doesn't have the DPF or need adblue. Can't comment on relative reliability, but I like not having either to worry about.

Agreed. I found it frustratingly confusing trying to actually lock down the exact spec... Even putting the VIN into Topix didn't clarify DPF/Adblue, both of which are mentioned in various JLR owners' manuals for these dates... But mine's definitely got neither.

My understanding is that none of the vehicles built for Australia have a dpf fitted. Only if you import a UK market built vehicle will you get o e with a dpf. Has been covered on here before.

Isn't there a marker in the vin number, eg, 6th digit is W means dpf.
