Gentlemen,
I have read several articles in various Series Land Rover Magazines about bodywork alignment, but I can find noting relevant to a Series 1 80" with their oddly shaped doors.
The publications all refer to S2 and S3 vehicles with their rectangular doors.
With those, they suggest seeking the tub in place, mounting the bulkhead lolly and there ensure that the door appetite is 34.4" at the top and the bottom by moving the Bulkhead for or raft. Set the bulkhead at 90 degrees to the chassis rails and its done.
However on S1 80' the door is not a parallelogram and the width at the top and the bottom of the door itself are very different. As a result the method used on S2 and S3's does not apply.
Can anyone give some guidance to setting the door gaps correctly on an S1 80", with our odd shaped doors?
Many thanks in advance.
regards
jeff
