Coolant bleeding through hose…

Hello!
I installed a new coolant top hose, a good one made from silicone, from Allisport, no el Cheapo…
Now after some Kilometers i found a red drops of coolant at the end of one the hoses. It seems it is bleeding through the fabric or the threads from the hose. Is this normal? A known issue for the silicone?

I dont have silicone but have seem it bleed through rubber.

Mine don't 'bleed', but it's kind of a bleed, in that they stain the outside with the colour of the coolant. It's like the colour/dye is migrating through the silicone, but not that actual fluid itself ... very weird.

It is a known phenomena that silicon actually does permeate water through at a much greater rate than rubber - see the gates youtube vid - Silicone Hose Water Permeation on Heavy Duty Trucks - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osYhprAEktw) - however the other aspect is that the red coolant also gets out it would appear especially when changing the pipes but this settles down.

The fact it does not adhere to the silicon but rather the polyester fibres is what I believe gives the 'look' of it seeping through the fibres / piping.

Basically the silicon pipes will outlast the rubber but it does require a level of vigilance as to fluid levels over time. Was a couple of weeks before my pipes stopped appearing they were leaking by the way but with no intervention, they stopped. I still check the level every time the bonnet is open of course.
