If anyone is interested I will be attempting to photograph the moon rise tomorrow (yes, short notice) 13/7/22 from the location indicated in the attached illustration.

So if anyone in the Brisbane area is so inclined you are welcome to join me at Pelican Park Clontarf. As per the illustration, moon rise is at 1624 and the disc will be 99.61% and will rise behind Woody Point Jetty. Perigee is at 1908 with the disc at +13.84%. As I will most likely be there for a few hours I plan on taking brew gear and snack.

With sunset at 1705 and being in that "golden hour", fingers crossed for some colour in the moon as it rises. Fingers are also crossed for the weather, so if it is total cloud cover and raining then I will won't be there.

Anyway, see you there, or not. Yes it is "THAT" night but does anyone really care any more.

I’d certainly join you if I were closer. Hope you get some great shots. [emoji106]

Well that went to poo very quickly!

Unfortunately this now has to be cancelled, at least on my part, as this morning after feeling a little throaty yesterday and this morning, I have returned a positive RAT. I will be having a PCR this morning also but I am required to isolated for 7 days. :censored:

Feel free to use the information above. You could also move further south just past the Sandgate pool and get the moon rising behind Sandgate Jetty if you wish.

Anyway. ****! Was bound to get it sooner or later working in retail I guess.

Bugger! Always crap timing getting the spicy cough. Hope you’re over it quickly and can sit around bored twiddling your thumbs for the rest of the week (been there, done that.)

I think it will be sleeping, eating, computer and xbox at random intervals. [biggrin]

Definitely crap timing. [bigsad]
