I have a d3 2008 trading for a sport 2016 or there about . Apart from towing is rated smaller and engine size is smaller, does the sport have a low range or not. Other then that , the drive train appears same same. It also doent have are bag suspension

If your talking Discovery Sport, then you are correct it has a single range transmission and coil suspension. Essentially the DS (& Evoque) is derived from a Freelander 2.

A 2016 will, like the FL2, prob have a PSA/Ford 2.2 diesel, and similar haldex system which controls drive to the rear wheels. This era DS may have the ZF 9 speed trans. Alternatively I think some early DS may have a 6 speed Aisin trans, like the FL2.

The DS has redesigned body and suspension which enables quite a large cargo area, relative to the FL2.

There is a DS section on the forum as an FYI. My partner recently purchased a secondhand DS 2016 year. It came with the Ford 2.2L diesel. The Indy I use that did the PPI on said he was dreading it if it was the Ingenium engine. Said nothing but problems with those engines. The ford engine hers has is bullet proof aside from an oil leak at the transfer case which unfortunately is very expensive to fix. Thankfully it was covered and repaired as part of the purchase. That’s my only advice [emoji106]
