Misleading fuel gauge readings

Hi gentlemen, I had a scare today, fuel gauge reading about 1/3 full. Looking for a fuel stop, gauge dramatically drops to zero, pulled into petrol station, filled up gauge reading full as did the trip computer. Question….. could this be leading to a fuel pump problem or a fuel tank sensor?

Most likely the sensor in the tank.

Do a web search and you will find videos on how to fix it.

My L322 RR sat in a workshop for 3.5 years and then did the same as yours.
