how to remove the round air vent from the central console - SOLVED

hi all, does anyone have instructions on how to remove and replace the Land Rover Defender Louvre Assy - Vent Air Part LR021680 on an MY15 D90 ?I have the new unit, but not sure how to remove the old one and install the new one, does the central dash need to come out ?

From memory, I think it simply pulls out. With careful steady pressure.
