RRS 2007 TDV8

I currently have 12v+ to both the yellow and green wires at the trailer plug? What I don't have which is far more important is any power to the red (brake light) for the trailer. I'm midway through fitting a brake controller but I need the 12 v signal when brakes are applied as well of course applying brake lights.............any ideas where to look?

All lights on the car operate correctly.

check your manual for a fuse set for the trailer socket. the workshop manual shows it, i think in the rear quarter somewhere, but in my 2010 its not there.

Nothing in the manual unfortunately. I have checked all trailer fuses below the glove box and under the bonnet [bigsad]

Good new is, it's all working. There was a fuse that had blown. For anyone looking to replace a trailer connection fuse it's not exactly straight forward or obvious. They are hidden behind the passenger side cargo area panel. To get to them you first need to remove the tie downs on the passenger side cargo area floor, remove the long narrow floor panel that is under the tie downs. Then remove (or as I did) pull the rear of the side panel out. You will then see a bank of blade fuses. Thank you Land Rover for the challenging job to find and replace a fuse.

That's my original thought, but the wiring looms all had LR (Australia) tags on them.

I ended up locating the fuses behind the panel in the boot area on the passenger side. The standard place is under the floor near the tool and jack area. You will see the cut out on the rear part of the foam insert. (Near your left leg when you lift the cover)

Thanks Gary but I think the 2010 to 2012 might be a bit different, I’m not even sure the brake lights have a fuse the wiring diagram indicates that it come straight from the BCM all other wires are fused behind the glove box.
