How to remove/attach td5 fuel return line back to regulator

Hello fellow enthusiasts, I've replaced my fuel regulator (td5, Euro 3, 3 hose) and am about to change out the fuel return hose from front of motor - it has a split in rubber section. Any hot tips on how to get a spanner onto the front 14mm nut fixing to motor? What do I need to remove off the motor to access? I want to avoid removing the exhaust manifold if possible. thx.

That is the inlet manifold.
If you heat and bend a 14 MM spanner to right angles, it is just possible to turn the nut a bit at a time. Oh and maybe grind each side of the spanner.
You have to remove the alternator bracket/stay and the oil pipe to the vacuum pump.
if you are good at welding chrome vanadium, maybe cut the head off the spanner and weld the shaft on very close to the head ie closer than you can bend it. No a crows foot will not fit.

The hose on my TD5 became very brittle and leaking,so cut it off at the crimps with a Dremel,replacing it with hi temp [blue] hydraulic hose.
Works well......now have to put a kit through the regulator!

Thanks Philip, I'm only a novice at Land Rover mechanics but this 14mm nut is the hardest I've come to so far. I've got a set of moon spanners coming (cresent shaped) they won't be here for a month and I'm not entirely sure they'll be able to give me the angle anyway. Welding is beyond my skillset atm so I'll ask a friend to get into his workshop so I can heat and bend a 14mm. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated.
