Is there a coffee thread hiding in the forum?
I searched but couldn't find.
I'm sure it's been discussed previously but may have been off topic in a different thread , but what's the likelihood of that happening here?

I did get a overseas Honours student apply for a job once. PHd was on how caffeine helped marathon runners recover. A very long phone interview was amazing yet I could not employ which was disclosed before we discussed coffee and running for a long time!
Melbourne marathon on coffee to stir the pot a bit more [biggrin][biggrin][biggrin]

I honestly can't remember the last time I had a cup of coffee, or ran a marathon, for that matter! [bigsmile1]

Cannot remember??? CHECK for dementia Saitch- Life with out coffee! My sympathies but I did note some so called coffee in some places is worse than dunny water. Perhaps that's the reason I did find ONE place in QLD that made a good cup- Just ONE :)

I knew a guy who belonged to a running club with a drinking problem, he said it was actually a drinking club with a running problem. One of their events was to run 800m around a track and then have a beer, then run another 800m for another beer, and so on and whoever ran the furthest was the winner!

I can remember both very easily - 20 minutes ago and never - I'll leave it to everyone to work out which one is which... [biggrin]

Reminds me of the Geelong Pubathon - I won't post a link as I'm sure it contains profanity, but search for it on youtube!

Pour Moi?. Two pods. 5 mins ago. Marathon? nil/never or planned.[bigsad]
When in the Scouts we had to do a mile in 12mins at Scout Pace. AKA around the Scout hall block.
Scout Pace is run 100 paces & walk 100 paces intermittently. Not the fastest but you do get to your destination alive providing you haven't got a ZULU Assegai in one's back.. A Baden Powell test from his time in Seth Effrica.
Wasn't a fat bastard then either.:MileStone::Rolling:

Yeah roight. I bet you went to walk in the doors, saw what was going on, decided it wasn't for you & went to the Milk Bar/Juice Bar instead.
Top marks for your strong willpower.
