Well its made it (well limped over the line maybe).
After a split turbo pipe and intercooler hose - fixed last week (throwing intermittent codes) - problem solved. However - still getting the restricted performance on seemingly odd loads (light pressure to cruising, possibly up a hill - but not on full noise).
Codes are
 P2263 - Turbo/Supercharger boost system performance.
P2586 - Turbochargert boost control sensor position B circuit.
P2586 - Turbocharger boost control sensor position B circuit.
Got a better read at local indy after the fix on pipes- and suggest turbo 2 actuator is sticking - open and at close. After a few searches I am not getting much detail but could be just actuator arm sticking (not a replacement turbo?...again)
Maybe vacuum hose or turbo isolation valve ? - makes sense that its full got oil in the system given the split turbo hose?
Appreciate any thoughts

Still grumpy with a hail storm which killed the 500,000 I was close to in my D3. Replacement is a baby with 300,000 plus a bit and a replacement engine to make me feel grumpy [biggrin]
I am no help with the codes sorry. Hope you get it sorted quickly. [thumbsupbig]

Actuator at the air valve, or check the solenoids and all vac lines plus connectors. System gets finicky when it can't hold vacuum. Found a dodgy vac line connector on mine that was giving similar turbo codes. Fixed that and error did not reappear

You need to look deeper into the 2263 code. If it is 2263 - 22 it can be throttle body sticking which is why it is showing up at cruising speed. Are you getting restricted performance error?
Just spent 3 months chasing this down on my d4 sd6. Things to check
Split intake manifold - do a smoke test
Vacuum hoses
Lubricate turbo acuators
Check maf sensor
Change throttle body
In the end it was throttle body for me

thanks for this - I am not sure my cheap reader will tell me more...
I am trying to get a look at the actuators on the turbos (both sides) - Seemingly very tight in there !
Checking the vacuum hoses - spaghetti ! and hard to tell (can I just pressurize the system and look for a leak?
Will have a look around the throttle body - but may not to be to bad of a job to remove?
Cheers
