I was not a Medibank client - Navy Health type [biggrin] Optus has me with new Drivers licences, New passwords and two factor authentification for everything!

I wonder why we have to wait for AFP to tell us? I wonder If the Government of the hackers is quietly being asked to shoot them (figuratively ) before it is shown to be Putins Russians[thumbsupbig][thumbsupbig][thumbsupbig]

I bet if this becomes a legal case and goes to discovery there will be a 10 year trail of the IT department begging for funding for security, warning about the magnitude of the data collected and attempting to encourage a culture of awareness. I'll also bet there's 10 years of the upper management to board level saying "it'll never happen".

Chatting yesterday with setting up a business to locate and hurt cybrecriminals. Suspect a non government group located in a place where laws did not impact could do some serious damage to dirty criminal ransomware/hackers criminals in places which allow them to do so for a cut of the money they steal.

Government beat me to it! I was looking at funding from corporate victims and public angry by identification, disruption and full exposure.

Hiring White Hat hackers is very possible already of course
