Hey folks:

the following 3 faults are persistent: all can be cleared, but return after a complete driving cycle. Its a 3l 2016MY TDV6:

IPMB-Camera

U0140-08 (2C) Lost communication with body control module - General failure information - bus signal/message failure
( on 13-04-2029 11:48:58 at 138 km )

PCM-Engine Diesel 3.0L

P2264-00 (28) Water in fuel sensor circuit
( on 05-10-2022 12:04:14 at 207783 km )

PDM-Passenger Door

B109C-15 (6C) Front courtesy lamps - General electrical failure - circuit short to battery or open
( on 06-10-2022 15:38:39 at 207850 km )

The water in fuel sensor one is almost certainly the sensor on the fuel filter - it'll be changed out at the next service, and I know it's not an issue, so I am ignoring that.

The other 2 are also not causing any obvious issues - reversing camera works fine, and the passenger doors turn on the courtesy lights, but just for my curiosity, does anyone have any thoughts on what they're all about? I'm not going to do any major work, but if there's a simple fix, it's nice to keep resolving things...

If you have LED in the passenger door, it’ll show as a globe fault as you have. I have this for both doors since switching to LED. You might find some more expensive brands that don’t fault like this [emoji2369]

I’ve had the first one since having the car…Indy did tell me what it was (iirc the car is looking for a module that mine didn’t come with)…and has caused no issues.

Had the second one also a few months back. Can be a few things..if you are changing Fuel filter soon, will be no problem. There was some other small quirk (re connections, cables getting pinched with this)…but again, you’re changing out so no worries.

No idea / experience with the last one.

Water in fuel can cause a major bill. Drain the filter. If the fault doesn't go away then you can proceed with the waiting game

I had an sensor error because there was no sensor in the filter. Check you do have one there.

I had the water in fuel sensor persistently coming up - changed out the entire filter housing, new sensor and filter, not had a problem since. I think you're on the money with changing out.

For anyone chasing the same faults:

The passenger door one was simply a failed 'puddle light'.

The water in filter one remains, but I'm confident it's the sensor.

The camera one was interesting. The car CCF has 2 'camera' lines; one is 'parking camera', and the other is something like 'reverse camera aid'. Both were enabled, but I have just the one reversing camera. I disabled and restarted one after the other. The first lost me my reversing camera view, but the second stopped the fault re-appearing. Presumably references surround cameras etc. Problem solved.

Interestingly, a number of other features were showing as 'undefined', like the trailer sway assist, which is fitted to this model. Worth checking your CCF if you have these niggling issues, and even if you don't...
