Hello knowledgeable ones
Have an issue with 2002 auto TD5 228,000 ks "Klunking" changing up from 1st to 2nd or back down to 1st.
Otherwise driving like normal.
Trans had full service at 205,000 ks and a drain/fill at 215,000ks and 225,000ks.
Only fault code is P1483. CAN TIMEOUT MONITORING.
Currently touring around towing 2.8 tonne Van.(in Bendigo at the moment)
Do any of you know if there is a good Indie, or ZF repair shop around here ?
Thanks
Harry

Had Fluid Drive at Kangaroo Flat diagnose the fault as either a worn Solenoid, or broken valve spring in the valve body.
Would not have parts until next week and suggested I drive it and arrange repairs back in SA.
Both Jay (owner) and Nick friendly even though they were very busy.
Thanks again to Simon & Chuck for the info.
Regards
Harry
