You would need to start from scratch to keep identical panels,,
Weigh that up against using every square foot of available roof space,,

I have a300w and a250w fitted to the roof of my 79 series and because the panels have different speccs I have fitted a seperate MPPT controller to each of the pannels so that they can charge independantly, Much the same as would happen if I was to add another portable panel (with its own controller) to the mix.

Seems to work just fine and running 2x fridges (1 freezer 1 fridge) plus lights off this stand alone system hasn't let me down so far.

It also offers a redundancy in case one of the panels/MPPT controllers were to fail[thumbsupbig]

I've been looking at this. My OKA has old flex panels glued to the pop-top. They still work but the output could be better.... Short of either scraping them off or sticking more on top I intend to follow this and fit a solid panel to the roof of the cab. I hadn't considered two seperate controllers....
