Friends of a nephew are moving from the UK to Tasmania. Wants to buy them a gift to help them start their time there. Any recommendations for a book about Tasmania and what to see and how to do it?

This 4WD Tracks In Tasmania - Chris Boden - Carto Graphics (https://cartographics.com.au/4wd-tracks-in-tasmania-chris-boden.html) is a pretty good book which covers most of the 4wd tracks but also some history.

Ferry tickets to the mainland??

Just kidding, wouldn't mind moving there myself.

Lonely Planet do an OK book: Just a moment... (https://www.boffinsbooks.com.au/books/9781838695637/lonely-planet-experience-tasmania)

Yeah, well Queenslanders get nervous crossing all that water to get to Straddy.

We're a much tougher breed down here in Tassie.

No place for woosses (not sure of the spelling but I can spot one at a distance!)

I reckon. I remember flying down to Hobart in November. Tshirt and shorts and I just about died of exposure walking from the plane to the terminal, it was that cold! I had some time to fill in, so went for a drive to the top of Mt Wellington where it was snowing!

Ten days ago we had the coldest December day in Hobart since 1920, maximum 11.5 degrees!!

Last few days have been 31 and 28 degrees.

You just never know.
