G'day All,

Anyone know what these brackets are used for under the front seats of my 2013 D4?

Sorry about the pics being upside down.

Thanks in advance.

You mustn’t have specified the in cabin quieting device, commonly also referred to as the wife ejector seat module. Not available without the sunroof option as well.

Mounting for part of Audio system if you have the higher spec.

For lower spec vehicles a good mounting point for UHF main units, etc

The one under the passenger's seat is where the GPS unit goes... well, that was where it was in my 2009 RRS.

Great! Thanks for that.

Under the front seats looked like good places for my UHF and my Cel-Fi-Go. [I'd assumed that the seats are easy to remove to gain access.]

So, others must have found (switched) power nearby and got the antennae leads out of the cabin somehow. But whereabouts, that's not obvious?

I mounted both the items you mention above under passenger seat - without removing the seat itself (fiddly but can be done)

Antennas and power feed behind dash and out through drivers side (there is a suitable grommet to be found from engine bay side).

I did not use internal vehicle power, I ran a feed from the battery directly to reduce noise
