Can you fit extended swaybar links to ACE-fitted D2?

Hi - I have a 40-50mm lift and have just received some extended HD Meyle swaybar links that are intended for 2-inch lifted vehicles. It seems like a bit of force will be required to fit these extended links and I just want to make sure that this is ok with an ACE-equipped vehicle? Not the end of the world if not, as the extended rears are pretty close in length to the standard fronts, so could just drop those in and then get some standard rear ones. I just assumed the extended links would perform better on a lifted vehicle, but maybe this isn't necessary with the functionality of ACE in any case? Thanks

I’ve only got 2 secs to reply at the moment, but in a nutshell, they will go in, but I wouldn’t change them for a 2” lift, partly due to them being too long and crashing and also because they’re not actually needed for a 2” lift.

You don't need extended sway bar links for a 2" lift. When that was developed it was to remove the twitch from vehicle after it was lifted with bigger lifts. I doubt very much that at 50mm you will have twitch and it isn't the experience reported with 2" lifts or my own experiences. A 50mm lift is not too far outside of factory specification for the suspension. Also, if the rear links are roughly the same length as the fronts, I would expect it to crash one end of the ram into the floor and the other end of the ram into the Xmember. Enough people get tied up in telling everyone they need extended links, adjustable panhard, caster correction, cranked watts and all of that type of stuff and its all bull**** that just isnt needed.

For fitting if you're bent on it, just do both sides of the swaybar at once, you wont have to force anything. Do not start the Disco or turn it on while the sway bars are apart in case the ACE reacts. I have broken sway bar links before and it was a bit of a pain to get the new links back in, I cant recall what I did, probably jacking the axle.

Can attest to Slunnies note that they are not needed with ACE, looked at this option at the time of the lift and subsequent travelling on road and off and there have been no issues at all.

Thanks for the replies...and while sorting things out in that part of the world, any tips on fitting ACE actuator bushings? Any special tools/press required?
