Hi,
I recently acquired a D4 SDV6 and A/C was not running well, worked a little but not much, so I got it topped up and it went well for a few days, then nothing. Just blew warm air, no cooling.
Went back to the A/C tech and he said it held gas so it is the compressor not working correctly, so ordered new one and degassed the system.
I started disassembling the front wheel panels to do the replacement and found a rat was stuck in by the compressor. It was dried out and leathery and took a bit of pulling to get it out so I'm wondering if this could affect the running of the compressor. Could the friction disengage the compressor?

I'm considering taking the car back into the A/C tech and getting him to regas it and see what happens?
Is this just hopeful thinking?
Thanks folks.
