Depends when they started 2002 MY? But probably August so should have internals.
Has it got an EU3 engine or EU2?

I am guesing from the headlight, the UE2, I think the CDL, headlight, tail light and EU3 all came in at the same time.

With that sort of build date, the only way to check for sure is look at it.
It is easy to tell.

I think the EU3 motor came before some other updates.

I think yours is an EU3.

You'll need to check for the CDL shaft in the top of the transfer case.

Just to throw another spanner, Ritter's and possibly others did upgrades to the lights...

I have a 2002 with old headlights and EU3 and it had no spigot on the transfer case for CDL.( until I changed the nose and bought OEM linkages)

They lost the cdl internals when the eu3 first came out ,until the facelift about 08/02.
6/01 should have eu2 and still have the internals, why not just check with a 10mm open end spanner?

Another way to find out is to look at the product number on the transfer case. It’s visible without removing the TC. I can’t render the exact range, but it’s a more definite way of working out if it has the CDL internals.

All the lights or just the headlights ??

All. They made a fuss about having the rear indicators up high to be seen, and the reverse down low to be able to see. Can't say I disagree. I got mine in '09 and wanted to do it, rear only, but it wasn't cheap from them. Rear loom came with it. Don't know if I'd bother now.

And just to make it even more confusing, I heard that they made some with the internals in the front output housing but no spigot!?

My 08/2002 build is EU3 and had no CDL internals or externals.
I was lucky enough to find the right parts from a 2a before they became gold plated.

I reckon they just chucked in the stuff they had on the shelf to get rid of it. Must have looked silly when management decided to run with CDL again....
