Does anyone know the specification of the bolts used to retain the spare wheel on the bonnet of a Series 80"?
During replating the platers seem to have misplaced one. So I have one, but need help to locate another.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I am pretty certain they are 9/16 inch BSF thread. But check the diameter, might be 1/2 inch. You will find them at your fastener shop alongside the hens' teeth.

3/8 x 2" BSF. Head the same as wheel nuts. If they are any longer they will hit the bonnet if no spare fitted.

Most of the usual suppliers carry a modern reproduction (pn 345779)
Now zinc plated rather than the original hot dipped.

Many thanks for everyones assistance . I feel quite embarrassed to say that I found the missing bolt, so have no need to purchase another.
As my good good wife would say, I should have had a big girls look!!!!

Well done.
I usually find it a month after I'd bought a new one .....

And if you're not carrying your spare on the bonnet, wouldn't you store the fittings in the passenger's seat locker? Or do things that go in there never come out alive.....?
