Wheel and tyres - 2016 RRS wheels on a 2012 RRS

Has any one tried to fit a 19” wheel from a 2016 RRS onto a 2012 with the base model tyre - ie 235 65 R19

These are nearly 60mm larger than the 20 inch rims with a 175 40 R20 tyre

What? [biggrin] your given sizes dont line up.

Stock rubber sizes as per factory:

2012 19" is 255/55r19 = 763.1mm / 30.04"

2016 20" is 255/55r20 = 788.5 / 31.04"


Increase is 25.4mm / 1"

On my wheel label on right hand door it lists both 175 40 R20 and 255/50R20

My 175 40 R20 are 705 mm diameter

The 175 40 R20 would be the space saver spare which is speed limited to 80kph, but the size sounds wrong as a 175 40 R20 is only 648mm diameter.

Which model is this from?
