If there was corrosion on the TCM plugs would i be ok to use a small wire brush along with contact cleaner to clean them ? , any risk of shorting - battery will out at the time obviously, not my vehicle but helping a bloke with his.

I like boiling hot water out of a jug for green death with some bicarb soda. Then a good air blow

I'd also use an aerosol contact cleaner.

Is that just to celebrate a job well done?

TCM?
Given the OP's post in another thread that he's servicing the transmission, my thought is that it is the Transmission Control Module. Otherwise it might well have been me asking the question.

If they have found corrosion on the TCCM plugs, and it is a D3, worthwhile also checking the TCM plugs. These connectors are also prone to bad corrosion and will cause faults at some point.

I will be checking over all the plugs and and connectors as process of elimination.
