front and rear prop shaft seals

Shorty, my 1968 series 2a 88" project is slowly coming along, and as a first time restorer I too am slowly coming to grips with the mysterious parts system that is Landrover.<br>In looking through all the exploded diagrams and parts for the front and rear prop, I cannot find any reference to the rubber seal that fits into the screw cap that joins the spline shaft to the yoke shaft.<br>Can anyone point me in the right direction?<br>Boxpacker

If you mean the seal in here 184735 My S!1 fad felt seals when I bought it 35+ years ago. Just cut some out of thin felt about 2 -3mm thick, as long as they are a snug fit in the male & Female, soke them in oil before fitting, the sliding joints are lubricated with grease so are not going to leak, the seal is only to keep dust & water out. Other than that if there is any one near you that rebuilds prop shafts they should be able to supply them
