I seem to have an intermittent fault with the trailer brake lights on my 2010 RRS.
The fault is occurring at socket (all original wiring). Several of the trailer fuses are located in the left foot well but not the brakes. Has anyone else suffered this intermittent fault and or been able to locate the fuse box? Any help would be appreciated.

The trailer brake wire runs directly to the central junction box (fuse panel behind the passenger glove box). The power is sourced from the 50A fusible link 18 in the engine bay fuse box, assuming it's the same as the 2010 D4.

Thanks Graeme, that sorts the question re fuse box. From this I would conclude that the intermittent problem will either relates to the body control module or one of the connections down stream. I will scan the body control module and see if any faults spring up. The odd thing is the brake lights on the car have been good the whole time. 🙈

There has been an occasional issue with fusible links so be sure to check it.

What electric brake controller do you have in your car? I have had a couple of Teckonshas fail over the years. I fitted Redarc when I bought the Discovery 4 and have had no problem with quite a few long caravan trips under my belt and also towing a large tilt car trailer a fair bit.
Good luck with it
