Mate has a D2 and went to start it this morning and it started but then stopped.Looked at fuel gauge at it said empty.:soapbox:
He just spent $132 to fuel it the day before. To say he's ****ed off is a understatement.
He getting it towed to garage to put some diesel in it.
Any hints to help it fire up greatly appreciated.
TIA

Google search will reveal all, from memory ignition on,pump accelerator pedal 5 times, then with it half depressed, hold starter on,it will splutter and go.
I find Google better than search on here, and it often leads to AULRO anyway.
Good luck with it all.
Could be worse, out at the property we lost well over 1000L…a while ago.[bigsad]
And the local council lost over 700 L out of two machines,so business is booming[bigsad]

TD5 Fuel Bleed Procedure
Correct way of priming is, turn ignition on and wait for pump to stop running, then pump throttle pedal fully up and down five times. Pump will now run on and off for a couple of minutes.
The engine management light will flash when that stops, Key off, throttle pedal on the floor and start.
Then let it tick over straight away .

They got the fuel from underneath where the fill pipe goes into the tank. Arseholes they are.
Mechanic said ther've had 3 LR's in this week with fuel stolen, but there's a lot of it happening in his area apparently.

At least they didn't puncture the tank.

Like to see them stealing fuel from mine.
That gives me an idea I might spike a couple of Jerry cans with sugar , one petrol, and one diesel, and leave them in the back of the ute. That will fix the ****ers up.
