Brother and I have disco 4's and want to buy a scan tool for both vehicles. Any recommendations?

I have a nanocom i bought for my SDV6 when I purchased the car in 2017. I have not used it other than to see if it recognised the car which it did, but it has never been updated. New price in excess of $600, yours for $250 posted.
