Transfered my old Disco 3 towing hitch over today. It took longer to take it off the D3 than it did to fit it to the L320.
Towing electrics/towpro to be fitted on Monday.

Fitting the electrics and towpro has not gone to plan!
I got a call yesterday arvo to say its ready to collect, but the back left park light doesnt work! They replaced the fuse, and it blew again.
When I arrived, they were right, there was no rear left park light.
And on the dash display was the orange triangle and a message saying suspension error.
We could raise it and lower it, so the compressor was working, and at one point the right side was higher than the left side!!!!!!!!!
After a few more ups and downs, it was level, but still with the error.
After I reinforced that the faults were not there when it was delivered, they have decided to keep it and figure out what is going on.
Not overly happy as they are a recognised towbar/electrical fitting business.

Make sure they fit the protection diode etc, and get it right or a CJB may well be in order...

Ah, thank you - they have been in there.

I think I may have been consulted on this today.
I told them about the diode, but haven't seen the vehicle (or been asked) to do any diagnosis.

A week after leaving my RRS for the electrics to be fitted for our van, it is FINALLY done.
There have been issues with suspension errors, lights not working, and others.
Today it was discovered that when fitting the megafuses to the top of the wheel arch, a screw had pierced a wiring loom underneath and had caused all the problems.
Peter from PCB Land Rovers, who did a full service on the car on Monday, suggested that this might have been the problem, and he was right.
The towbar guys were great when they realised what had occurred, and all has now been made good, and sorted.
