Hi folks, my P38 has the dreaded smell of Pag oil coming from the air conditioning vents, which can only mean the evaporator is leaking. I have tried finding a new evaporator but I have come up empty handed. Has anyone purchased one lately and can point me in the right direction. I have a couple of second hand ones, but I would prefer to fit a new one when I have to remove the dash to replace the leaking one.
Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Alan

I could find only one: EVAPORATOR ASSY Part STC3260 (https://ukarauto.com/heating-air-conditioning/10019-land-rover-evaporator-assy-stc3260.html) all the other sites mention it is out of stock or obsolete so... your mileage may vary. Also, they are not cheap!

Hi Prelude, thanks for the reply. Yes they are rather expensive. So it looks like I will be putting in a second hand one at this stage. I will take measurements of an evaporator and see if I can match the size I could then make up pipework to make it connect up to the original tx valve and pipework. I have done this dozens of times before when there are no replacement evaporators available. So more work to do, and now I have to get it done ASAP. I had a phone call from my doctor late yesterday afternoon. They never ring with good news.
Thanks, Alan.
