Hello All,
Has anyone made any modifications to your Triton Workcentre 2000? If so what were the modifications and how successful were they? I have seen a couple of video clips on youTube where people have made ripping sleds: see both accessed on the 13th of July 2023 from Triton 2000 workcentre sled Video (parts 1 to 5 combined). - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6dCo4Rwb4E&t=220s) and New sled for Triton WorkCentre 2000 - YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LaBII3XvyAM). This seems to be the extent of people's modifications which seem surprisingly few.
Due to some missing parts from a second-hand sliding extension"Maxi" table I am reconfiguring how the slide part of the table operates. The kit was bought back in 2019 and at the time I did not know that there were parts missing. Instead of the slide running on two plastic 'bearings' per rail I only have one of the small bearings. I have found a replacement part online thanks to some people on eBay specialising in selling second-hand parts.
While I wait for the parts to arrive I figured I might as well keep myself gainfully occupied by attempting to make improvements to the sliding system. I have bought and fitted some aluminium track and four thin roller blade skate style wheeled fixed castors.
Oh - the hunt for the missing parts did bring up something good. For a long time the optional extra of the saw height adjuster was scarce as rocking horse poo. During my replacement parts hunt I found a height adjuster for sale at a reasonable price online. It is now on its way to me!
Kind regards
Lionel
