Hi All,

So I'm in the position where my 2.7 TDV6 needs replacing and I have been reading the posts on the conversion and I have decide this is the best route. I do have a few questions to ensure I don't buy something I don't need.

Does it matter if the donor Territory is a RWD or does it need to be an AWD model? I would assume the engines are the same and just the transmission onwards if different? Maybe even the RWD engines would be preferred as they would have had less stress on them being 2WD only?

Is there a specific year range that can be used or can all territory 2.7 TDV6's usable? Looking at a few that are available and I can see 2012 to 2015 are readily available.

Thanks for the help in advance.

Scott

The tdv6 in the Territory was only used from 2011 until production ceased.
The 2wd and 4wd are the same engine, just the sump is different. Which won't matter as you need the Discovery sump.
There is a lot to swap. If your discovery is a 05/06, the hp side of the fuel system is different from the Territory. 07 onwards is the same and won't need swapping.Everything is plug and play. There is no modification needed.

Great Soccer mom cars. Tend to get written off from mobile phone distraction or school carpark fights, so lightly used ;)

Ok cool, I've now secured a 2015 engine with low kms. It's off a AWD model with most accessories still on it. Will have to follow the "guide" on swapping over parts.

Body is already off and hope to have the engine out i the next few days ready for a wash down.

Thanks for the feedback!
