Weather at Cape York Sept/Nov

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone knows what the track to Cape York might be like from September to novemeber this year? Not having done it before, is it safe to go on a solo mission? where can I get info about fueling up, park permits and all else needed to make the trip?

You can sort of count on the wet starting around Xmas day, so you will be there at the end of the dry.I have seen thunderstorms and rain in late October but not enough to leave you stuck.Plenty of traffic, so solo is not an issue.Most permits are available on site, you fill out the envelope and put your money in the box.Fuel is available at all towns and stations listed on any map.
