hi, I am about to upgrade my intercooler to a BAS and install a BAS 150 tune, on a MY15 2.2 Puma 90, I am looking to install the redarc EGT and boost pressure G52-EB, and wondered where people fitted these in the dash and if anyone had any photos.
What other gauges would you recommend, again, a Redarc, maybe water temp and oil pressure or ..... is the EGT and boost enough. This is a daily driver and a shorter distance tourer and tows my 1 tonne boat.
cheers, Simon

Also, I was talking to Brian and he was OK that I could upgrade to 150HP City tune in my 90 2.4 and then later upgrade the intercooler to full tune later.

I'd say that the G52-BET would the better gauge to use, but my experience is only with TD5, TDi and V8 D1's and D2s.
Reason is simply for having EGT, boost and a temp all in the one gauge.
LR(and most manufacturers) are notorious for having terrible coolant temp gauges that don't really display temp very well .. always show overheating well after it's overheated.
I've already sorted my TDi with a different setup, but I think for the TD5(D2) I'm almost set on getting the G52-BET setup for it.

years ago I bought a Madman EMS2 from the fella on here that sells them. I finally installed it back in Feb, best thing I've done - has oil pressure, EGT, water temp, batt voltage and hour meter. Also has coolant level (I haven't hooked that up yet) and you can add a boost sensor and another temp as well (gearbox or whatever).
I think the EMS3 looks like a better display but I would definitely recommend having a gauge that covers water temp, oil pressure and EGT. I've also chucked in one of those temp gauges that runs off the metal temp of the cylinder head - highly recommended.
I have the mud dash centre console so I just mounted the gauge in the top right section of that. The EMS will fit in one of the clock holes in the standard defender dash but I didn't like the way it looked there.

Something to consider... I have a ScanGauge II permanently installed in my 2010 Puma. It displays, boost, water temp and quite a few other reading as well (no EGT's though). The benefit is it also can scan for basic faults should that happen.
One day I may install a EGT probe/gauge but for now the SGII is all I have and its seemed to work well over the past 5yrs or so that I've had it for

thanks for everyones contributions. As I am having a BAS tune, i am keen to monitor my EGT, the scangauge sounds good, but no EGT, so maybe that is something I will look at later. For now, I am going the redarc , hopefully it will show me that i am not running too hot.
