Hey all,

My LR DS 2016 2.2 auto died the other day. When I turn it on, I have about 3 seconds to change the gear selector into R, N or D before it locks up with a bunch of faults. Same thing also happens if I leave it in park. But when I'm quick enough to get it into D, after the 3 or so seconds it throws the faults and then remains in neutral.

All this happened after driving around town just fine and no indication of issues. I got home, turned off the car and the next day, this...

I'm looking at this bunch of fault codes:

P0613.44 TCM processor data main failure
P0700.00 Trans control system
P0936.64 Hydraulic pressure sensor – circuit intermittent
P176C-07 Trans range selector lock control error
U0001.86 High speed CAN bus signal invalid

3 different mechanics have scratched their heads, came up with parts to change (including the whole transmission) to try as an experiment to see if it helps and then passed me onto the next shop. One suggested to change the Mechatronic Module at a cost of $10,000 to see if it works.

Above, I'm seeing a couple of faults pointing to the Transmission Control Module and one to the gear selector maybe. I'm not sure what to think of the rest and which is the source of the problems.

Any thoughts?

Hi guys, I'm not local to Aus, (Im actually in the UK) but my range rover evoque has done the exact same thing.
I have a 2014 Evoque 2.2 SD4 D-Lux Automatic & genuinely It's been great until now.

It's at 127k miles on the clock and in true RR fashion it's decided at a roundabout an hour into a journey to stop and not allow any gear to be selected.
Police had to close off the road until we could recover the car, the car is back now at my property.

We had to pin out the gearbox housing with the little lever to pop it into neatural to move it.

Once home I've read the ECU and got the error code P0613-44 ( P0613.44 or P061344 - For search engines )
You can't select a gear, you can't do anything but start it.

If you wipe the ECU code clear. It's happy for 2-3 seconds on a start up and then you get the Gearbox error on the dash and the same code (this is the only fault code) and the central selector is then locked and you can't do anything.

I've tried a gearbox reset (power on, 15 seconds on throttle, power off, wait 2 mins, start back up) and it's the same after.
I found a video of someone showing an issue with an AUX battery, one under the glove box, but my car is a UK car and I can't see one?

I'm happy to try things out and im farly handy with the spanners, but ECU issues are never simple I've had issues with other cars before.
So question is, Does anyone have a starting point for me?
