While travelling down from the Gold Coast to Sydney, I did notice that the mapping in the navigation system wasnt exactly up to date.
Me thinks that the system hasnt been updated since the car was purchased way back in 2014.
Besides using my iphone(which I use for diagnostics anyway whilst on a journey),what would be the best way to get updated navigation onto the beast.
a) buy a new android/carplay system---chineseium
b) buy software to update the system--already had 2 knockbacks from UK re updating the system.
c) give Cambo a call and see what he suggests
d) any other suggestions greatfully appreciated.

cheers

Option C would be my first choice.

Option E) , look out the window and red the road signs [bigrolf]. Seriously though check with Cambo and see what he can do.

I'd be interested in how you get on with this.
My MY14 FL2 TD4 SE has the original maps as delivered from JLA so they would probably be 2012 maps. I rang Macarthur Land Rover and was told the map updates finished in 2019.
I've done a bit of searching and all the videos and discussions on the web say there is a DVD under the driver's seat.
There's not one in my model so I'm guessing the last version updated the maps through the DVD in the entertainment system. I can't find anything to confirm this suspicion.

Does anyone know the map vendor that JLR used? Or is my quest pointless?

Cheers

I'll have to look under my seat tomorrow and see if there's a dvd in there.........I expect nothing tho.
Mine would be one of the last as build date is Nov 2014, 1st rego'ed 29/12/14.
