Camper trailers - Insurance - separate or under car insurance?

Hi there,

I have recently acquired a second hand expedition trailer and have been looking around for insurance for it. Reaching out to the brains trust for ideas and experiences. My current D4 has comprehensive with Budget Direct Gold. There is only a $1000 insurance for trailers.

I have used Caravan Insurance Quotes Online - CIL Insurance (https://www.cilinsurance.com.au/) for the past 17 years. Haven't had to make a claim yet so can't comment on that side of it.

I found QBE much cheaper than what I had previously used ( AAMI )
