Leak at injector

Took our 300 tdi D1 for a roadworthy to get it onto club plates and they picked up a fuel leak at number 4 injector. I have replaced the washer underneath it, but it still leaks. Is there any other place they can leak or did I not tighten the clamp down enough? Any thoughts appreciated.

Check that there isn't a split in the fuel return hose. I had what looked like a leak on #2 injector and it turned out there was a little split in the bottom of the fuel return hose. Pull it off and have a look. You can buy a length of hose from any diesel or hydraulic shop.

Thanks Tom, had a look at hoses and they seem ok. Closer inspection showed it was leaking from the joint on the top of the injector where the metal fuel pipe attaches, even though I had tightened it hard before. I undid it again, made sure the surfaces were clean, and retightened it again with a bit more leverage while holding the injector body with another spanner. So far it seems to have worked, hope the RWC tester agrees.
